Weight Loss Tips

Was losing weight your New Year’s Resolution? Trying to find healthy recipes but can’t? Don’t let that discourage you from making your healthy meals and encourage your weight loss journey.

In the article, “Losing Weight,” The American Heart Association mentions how to lose weight. You need to watch your calorie intake. In order to lose the weight, you need to consume LESS calories and burn off MORE calories. For example, let’s say you eat a snack that totaled in 150 calories; you would need to burn off the 150 calories from the snack plus more. The key is to increase the number of calories you burn.

Here is a chart with activities, that can help you burn calories.

Also, don’t be embarrassed to look at the food labels. CHECK what’s going into your body!

STAY away from ingredients that include HIGH-FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP and that have a large amount of sodium or added sugars.

Lastly, drink plenty of water. Most of the time your body is thirsty and not hungry. So drink water before getting your hands on those snacks!
